Salts mill has shops, art gallery, diner.. If its dry a visit to Saltaire starts with the playground in Roberts park just a short walk over the river. My 11year old grandson rates the skateboard and scooter park one of the best he has visited, and he lives in greater London!!!!!
Lovely day in saltaire at Victoria park Nice little cafe in the park centre ,lovely food and service beautifull area. A lovely walk on sunnecessary day walked from hirst woods on the canal and we had a lovely coffee in the cafe in salts mill. We've been several times and enjoy just walking round, looking at the houses and taking in the atmosphere.
We regularly take people who come to stay with us and they always enjoy it too.
Quaint little town and the Hockney gallery and all the extra shopping books art equipment and restaurants that come with make for a super day out any time of the year. I live in the village and love the atmosphere, the convenience of the train station, and the wide range of places to eat and drink from cocktails to real ale. If you visit the mill you just have to have a look around the village.
